Ten years ago I purchased an expensive health appliance — a JuiceLady juicer. Over time the white plastic parts became orange from the carrots. And even though I beat it up, the thing ran perfectly, until I cracked a plastic part.

After watching the infomercials I purchased a juice extractor. it extracted juice but I didn’t feel that it lived up to the hype of the commercial. It wasn’t as easy to clean and stopped often while using it, making me clean it often. I returned it, thinking something was very wrong, and the new one did the same thing. I also couldn’t figure out why my glasses, which were as tall as the one on the infomercial, wouldn’t work with the machine. After watching the commercial again, I realized that the TV version is on a wooden slab. I returned it.

In that Sunday’s newspaper (yes, I read the newspapers) I saw that Wal-Mart was having a sale on Juiceman for 1/2 the price I paid for it 10 years prior; and it was a steel color, not white! I bought it, and used it a few times. But something smelled weird the grinder tore up the plastic. I called Customer Service on their 888 number, and told them what happened. Then with no fighting, no yelling, no begging, the man said “no problem we’ll send you a new one, just return the old one, something is wrong with your machine”.

New machine received. And I’m awaiting the shipping lables so I can return it to them; free.

Who says Customer Service is dead? It’s alive and kick’n at They really do stand behind of; and in front of their products.

Its terrific when a machine lives up to what they say it will do and the guarantee works. I therefore recommend Here’s to healthy breakfasts!
