10-Hours (or 10-Days) To a Spotless and Organized Kitchen

Summary:   When I talk about systematization or chunking actions into smaller steps, it's so much easier to show my clients this article I wrote back after I had moved across the country, unpacked, realized I was in the wrong apartment, and moved again to unpack; all of which I did in 6 months. People think of organizing tasks, creating systems, or making changes to their business as overwhelming and it is!  However, when you spend the time to plan for the changes, to chunk the actions into smaller, more doable pieces, you'll actually save time (all the time you're THINKING about doing the task) in the long run!   Sometimes it helps to organize a room

Many Advisor Websites Can’t Be Read by Visitors. Is Yours Responsive?

2022-08-07T16:15:29-04:00April 7th, 2018|Website Development|0 Comments

Today, your website must be readable on all digital displays:  TV, desktops, laptops, notepads, smartphones, and even watches! For that to happen, your website needs to be “responsive” (respond to different size devices). 10 years ago, when I looked at my website statistics, only 10-25% of the people who came to my site were using smartphones.   In 2015, the number was 50%, and that’s when I moved my site to the WordPress Platform.   Today, the number of smartphone users is 65%.   For people in India and the UK, the percentage is even higher. Besides looking up your site on all the digital devices to see how it looks, you can easily tell if your site is responsive

How often should advisors update their websites?

2022-08-07T16:15:29-04:00April 7th, 2018|Website Development|0 Comments

It’s important to update your website yearly.  For sure, you want to update the copyright date every December or January of each year to match the new year.  If your site reads (c) 2014 name of company, people “may think” your site is 4 years old and you may be out of business.  So, keep the date current with this year’s date. Every two years, ask your marketing consultant to give your site an hour once-over.  They’ll look at things such as: Are the code, theme, and plugins current? Do the photos reflect your ideal clients and are their clothing or hair styles current? Do the words need to be updated? Are the fonts or formats

Determining What To Tweet On Twitter

2022-08-07T16:15:30-04:00April 4th, 2018|Social Media|0 Comments

Clients often stay away from Twitter, understandably, due to compliance regulatory issues. Aside from that, inexperienced users aren’t always sure WHAT to post. So, what are some things you can tweet about? Here’s a brief list to get you started: Current blog posts that have been approved. Old blog posts and articles. Events your ideal audience will appreciate. Other people’s blog posts, events as they relate to the work you do. Information your ideal clients would enjoy even if they are off-topic. Responses, feedback, opinions on your followers’ posts. Images with comments from events you are speaking at or attending. Ask a question or for a recommendation. Your quotes or words of wisdom. Industry news. Pictures
