What can you do in 1-day?
There is much we can get done when we focus on what’s most important to us AND get the right support. But sometimes we get stuck and our personal and professional to-do lists just grows and grows until it’s so overwhelming that it makes us sick to even think about it.
That’s why a concept I learned in coaching school called “Integrity Day” stuck with me for 20 years!
Taking back your Integrity starts by writing a to-do list and/or a tolerations list (a list of the things or people you’ve been tolerating that you need to do something about). It ends with more things done than you thought was possible.
Integrity Day Defined
Integrity Day is about taking back our integrity as a way to have more “peace of mind”.
“Integrity is the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values.” — from Wikipedia
Coaching is about behavior changes. And Integrity Day is certainly a change! In coaching terms, it’s the time we set aside each week or a day each month, to get things done that we said we’d do. It could be that we told someone else we’d do “x” or more often it’s things we told ourselves we’d do and is still undone!
So, Integrity Day can actually be just a few hours a each week, every two weeks, or it can even be a day you put aside monthly for you (or your entire office) to get things done. I have to say that I like doing it once week for 4-5 hours the most. In the very important business book the book the Emyth Revisted, that would be the time you work “in” your business so you can later spend most of your time working “on” it.
During Integrity day you choose the most important or pressing personal or business items on your lists and get them “to-done”

This Ted Talk is by ___ of Google. It’s about trying something new for 30-days. 30-days is a time to add or subtract a habit. It’s a good amount of time to challange yourself to write “x” pages of a book, taking pictures every day that yoyu can use on your blog, calling “x” clients to say hello, etc. Or it’s a good time to challange yourself to learn 1 new personal development practice a day — like attending my Integrity Days !
