Take THE ATTITUDE CUP CHALLENGE!
Is your cup 1/2 full or 1/2 empty. That is the conundrum every individual is wondering in this economy.
It’s not easy to keep yourself positive with so much negativity in the world markets and negativity and concern from clients. Add to that industry changes, building a business…. and it’s no wonder why the glass is 1/2 empty.
As I was listening to a client complain again this week, I thought “what could I give her to do physically that could help her see some positiveness in all that’s going on in her life and world”. What popped into my head was this: for the next two weeks, keep a glass on the window sill or counter more than 1/2 full. Put the cup or glass somewhere you’re sure to look at it daily. Add water when necessary.
She liked the concept so much that she took the picture you see in this post. She kept the glass on the window sill much longer than 2 weeks. She learned much about herself as she noticed the water level getting low and filled it up again.
Between bad news, good stuff happening. There is always something to be grateful for each day.
After three years of dealing with our country’s financial mess, I realized recently that I too have succumbed to its negativity. It took working with a client this week to make me realize that she’s not the only person who could use an attitude adjustment. The good thing is that negative attitudes are meant to be changed. We can start the day again any time we want!

Well, its been a week now since I put my 1/2 full cup on the kitchen counter. Looking at the world 1/2 full again has help me accomplish (even) more this week.
