What to do when you don’t know the answer…

"Very early in my speaking career, I wrote a list of all the things I was afraid could happen in any area of my speaking gig. Not knowing the answer to a question was one of my fears. So I created a few answers to the question. The one I use the most often is: ‘That’s a great question, I’d like to know the answer, too. May I have your business card? I’ll get back to you after doing some research.’ Often, the questions are so good, that after I do the research, I write an article on the subject and send it to the person who asked the question with a thank you card." --

Today I received a Thank You email today from Reid Hoffman, Co-founder and Chairman of LinkedIn.  You may have received the same email.    It seems that I  was one of the first million LinkedIn members, actually I was one of the first 1/2 million members.  I'm number  399261 out of 100 million members.  Not surprising since I've been online since 1992 and purchased my first computer in 1981! It's been interesting being an early adopter of LinkedIn and watching it grow from a niched recruitment site to what you see today -- a networking site.   So what's your number? What changes have you watched happen and enjoyed or wished it didn't happen? P.S.:  Your

I wish I can tell you why it's happened, but I can't. I can guess --- Tuesday is Microsoft Update day. Possibly an update was corupted. Maybe not. What I can provide you with one fix (the one I used) and a suggestion. If you are using Norton as your anti-virus protection: Go to Norton Go to PC Security Protection (hover your mouse over it) Then click on Run Live Update. It takes a while to run. Open your Internet Explorer. Worked like a charm, which is why I'm online sending you this message. If you don't have Comcast and Norton --- call the company who provides your Internet access as I'm sure they'll walk you
